United We Stand (UWS) is intended to serve as a memorial to our
nation’s tragic events of September 11th 2001 and to remind our
neighboring countries that we are united in this mission of peace and justice.We are also using the event to raise money and collect non-perishable
food for the American Red Cross and
other local charitable organizations aiding in this mission.

The event will take place Tuesday December 11th 2001,
at the University of Central Florida - Pegasus
Ballroom & Reflection Pond, in Orlando Florida from 7 p.m. to
9 p.m. The goal is to bring all of Central Florida together to serve as
the central flame for the nation. Other sites (such as Washington D.C.,
New York City, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, Dayton) are
encouraged to coordinate this event to make it a national event.
All Americans, and people of other
countries who are appalled by the past events & wanting a peaceful
future, are encouraged to observe a 2-minute moment of silence at
precisely 7:30 p.m. EST where ever you & your family are.
A song, The Thanksgiving Song, has been dedicated to the all
Americans affected by the terrorist attacks. Donations will be collected
for the song and a check from the CD donations will be presented to the American Red Cross & other local charitable
organizations after the memorial. The event will have a musical portion
both a tribute and a concert for all in attendance to participate with.
Donations may be made payable to "UWS Hope Fund" at any First
Union Bank branch.
The musical program will consist of approximately
12 patriotic and
heart-filled songs dedicated to our country with a mini concert. Programs containing all the song
lyrics will be available directly via our website for downloading and printing.
You may pick up your free copy of the UWS Program at any Central Florida Kinko's
location starting December 9th, 2001.
With
charity for all; with firmness in the right, as God gives us to see the right,
let us strive on to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nation's wounds;
to care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his
orphan - to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among
ourselves, and with all nations.
